Thank You for Making Our 2025 Charity Golf Classic a Record Success!
Thanks to the incredible support of our Sponsors, Golfers, and Community Partners, our 2025 Charity Golf Classic exceeded its fundraising goal, raising an outstanding $85,000! These funds directly support free services for young mothers and their children, including prenatal nutrition, food insecurity supports, mental health counselling, child development, parenting education, high school programming, practical supports, and more.
As a registered Canadian charity, Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers relies entirely on the support of our community and grant funding to deliver these much-needed services. Proceeds from the golf classic will fund initiatives that help young mothers build brighter futures for themselves and their children. Thank you for being part of this special day and for helping us continue our mission.
JOIN US NEXT YEAR on Friday, September 18, 2026. Registration will open Spring 2026.

Your Participation Supports Young Families
Since 1985, Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers has empowered young women by providing free educational programs and supportive services to over 300 prenatal and parenting youth each year.
Our mission is to empower young mothers to embrace their strengths and achieve the future they envision for themselves and their children. We offer a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment through a hybrid of online and onsite programs designed to help young parents continue their education, set meaningful goals, and build the skills necessary to raise healthy children.
At our Newmarket location, pregnant and parenting students from across York Region can complete their high school education at York Academy, an accredited YCDSB classroom onsite which offers personalized education plans that help students succeed.
Our Prenatal Nutrition and Child Development programs support women of all ages and backgrounds helping them to have healthy pregnancies. Youth have immediate access to personal counseling, parenting and child development workshops, onsite child-minding, healthy meals and transportation assistance, ensuring barriers to participation are minimized.
For vulnerable families, our Food Pantry and Practical Supports provide a vital lifeline. Marginalized single mothers receive monthly home deliveries of Family Care Packages, which include donated groceries, baby food, formula, diapers, hygiene supplies, and clothing—all thanks to our generous community volunteers who help to pack and deliver.
As a registered Canadian charity, 100% of our programs and services are funded by the generosity of our community supporters and program funders. Rose of Sharon is proud to have been recognized for our excellence in community service with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pin and the Newmarket Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Leadership in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Business Excellence Award.
Together with the support of our community partners, we create brighter futures for young mothers and their children.
