Group Programs


Group Programs are free and designed to support the emotional and educational needs of prenatal and parenting youth.

We offer a variety of group programs including:

Parenting & Personal Development Programs – Focus on specific aspects of parenting and personal development such as attachment, resiliency, positive parenting, healthy relationships and self-empowerment.

Workshops – Cover specialized topics such as early literacy, budgeting, mental wellness, and more. Some workshops are interactive with mom and child, others are just for moms.

Food Insecurity – Living & Learning Together in the Kitchen offers cooking and nutrition education, how to make family-friendly meals on a budget, and provides home deliveries of groceries that help young parents make healthy meals for their growing toddlers.

Socials – Special occasion gatherings that bring participants together to celebrate like Mother’s Day, cultural holidays, back to school, and more.

Talk Cafe – ­Participants discuss what is happening in their lives, including successes, challenges, concerns, and more.

Ujima Project – Group workshops for caregivers of children under 6 years. Learn more about language, literacy and the development stages that your little one will experience. This is the perfect time to chat with our friendly staff to answer any questions about parenting and/or child development.

Baby Love – Group program for caregivers and their babies ages 2-18 months. Together, we will talk about:
• The importance of attachment
• Ways to make your baby feel secure
• How to help your baby deal with stress
• Sessions include activities for babies & caregivers, practice sessions, Q&A.
