Volunteers are VIP’s at Rose of Sharon! We rely on the support of dedicated community members to help make our programs and services available to young families.
Volunteer Positions
Current opportunities are listed below:
Bingo Volunteer:
- We are looking for friendly people to join our bingo volunteer team! No experience needed, training provided.
- Our time slots at Bingo World & Gaming in Newmarket are Wednesday evenings, 8:00-10:00 pm and Saturdays noon-2:00 pm.
Childminding to help care for babies/toddlers in our Child Development Centre
- Variety of days/times available
- TB test is required
*Note: Vulnerable Sector Checks are required for volunteer positions.
Volunteer Drivers
Rose of Sharon is very fortunate to have community volunteers who deliver Family Care Packages (essentials such as fresh food, pantry staples, baby formula/food and baby care items such as diapers and wipes) from our main office in Newmarket to families across York Region. No additional drivers are needed at this point.
